In industrial sectors like air compression, high-quality visuals are key to communicating complex engineering with clarity and impact. Global manufacturers rely on accurate 3D product renders and motion assets to help customers understand the performance and precision behind their technology.
This project focused on creating a suite of realistic 3D visuals and animations for a leading global provider of rotary screw, reciprocating, centrifugal, and portable compressors. The company supplies world-class air solutions to a wide range of industries, and needed a consistent set of visual assets to support marketing, product education, and sales presentations.
The challenge lay in transforming detailed engineering data such as STP and CAD files into clean, brand-ready visuals that could be used across brochures, websites, and digital campaigns. Each product needed to look premium, technically accurate, and visually cohesive across a wide range of models and product families.
The resulting imagery was used throughout the company’s promotional ecosystem from printed marketing materials and brochures to interactive product demonstrations and explainer videos used at trade shows and online. The aim was simple: to bring advanced industrial equipment to life through visually engaging 3D design and motion.

Our role covered all aspects of 3D direction, asset preparation, rendering, and motion design. Working from the supplied STP and CAD files, we first reviewed and optimised each model for visual production this often involved cleaning geometry, repairing broken or incomplete parts, and refining mesh structures to ensure smooth renders.
Once each model was production-ready, we applied realistic materials and textures to convey the industrial-grade quality of the equipment metals, coatings, plastics, and glass were all built to match the look and feel of the real products. Lighting setups were carefully constructed in Cinema 4D to give a polished yet technically authentic appearance, ensuring each render highlighted the craftsmanship and engineering integrity of the machines.
The static renders were delivered in multiple angles to cover use in brochures, web banners, and digital sales content. Each image was composed to emphasise key features and present the machines in their best light, both literally and figuratively.
Beyond stills, we created 360° rotation animations for use in digital promotional materials and interactive presentations. These gave viewers the ability to explore the products in full, revealing every surface and detail. Some sequences featured “exploded” animations, where components such as doors or panels lifted away to reveal the internal mechanisms helping explain the design and build quality in a way photography simply couldn’t capture.
To provide broader marketing utility, we also produced long-form motion videos showing the products in realistic warehouse environments. These contextual animations illustrated how compressors and filtration systems operate as part of a larger setup, helping potential buyers visualise real-world applications.
The workflow combined Cinema 4D for 3D rendering and After Effects for compositing, motion graphics, and final presentation work. This integrated pipeline ensured a consistent, cinematic visual style that aligned with the client’s existing brand identity while elevating the overall production quality.

The final 3D assets transformed how the company presented its products both online and offline. The new visuals replaced outdated photography with clean, controllable, and fully brand-aligned renders that could be reused and adapted for future marketing campaigns.
Sales teams now had access to a library of product images and animations that clearly demonstrated the complexity and reliability of the company’s engineering without requiring physical prototypes or photoshoots. The 360° and exploded view animations proved particularly effective in explainer videos and trade show displays, capturing attention and driving engagement in industrial audiences that value precision and clarity.
The consistency achieved across the full range of compressors, filters, and sub-freezing dryers gave the brand a more unified and professional image, strengthening its positioning as a global leader in compressed air technology.
This project highlights how 3D visualisation and motion graphics can bridge the gap between engineering and marketing. By transforming complex technical models into elegant visual storytelling, it demonstrated the power of design to communicate performance, precision, and innovation all essential qualities in industrial manufacturing.
